Monitor

This section contains information describing how to use the Oracle Net8 Assistant to monitor Names Servers.

Click on any one of the following to learn more about:

Server

 The Server panel identifies the name and version of the Names Server, as well as the amount of time that it has been running.

Statistics

Click on the Statistics button to display the current number of requests received and forwarded to the active Names Server. The panel also records and displays the number of foreign data items cached and Region data reload check failures.

Schedule of Operations for

Click on the Server button on the Schedule of Operations for panel to display how long before the server is scheduled to next shutdown and restart.

Click on the Statistics button on the Schedule of Operations for panel to display how long it will take Statistic counters to become logged and reset.

Click on the Cache button on the Schedule of Operations for panel to display how long it will take until the next cache flush, reload, checkpoint, and dump.
